Inzata has introduced a new feature for reports: the “running total” aggregation function.
This will allow users to use running total in report calculation.
What is a running total ❓ It is the summation of a sequence of numbers that is updated each time a new number is added to the sequence, by adding the value of the new number to the previous running total. Another term for it is a partial sum.
DEFINITION OF THE FUNCTION:
Where:
<expression> is the metric definition on which the running sum will be executed
<ordinal attribute> – is an attribute that is used for grouping running totals. Typically it is the year, quarter, or other attributes from time dimensions.
